Item9831: WikiGroups GUI broken if PasswordManager is none

Priority: Urgent
Current State: Closed
Released In: 1.1.1
Target Release: patch
Applies To: Engine
Component: WikiGroups
Reported By: KerstinPuschke
Waiting For: Foswiki:Main.GeorgeClark
Last Change By: KennethLavrsen
If PasswordManager is set to 'none', the GUI for managing WikiGroups does not allow you to add or remove users. The only user you can add or remove is the one you are currently logged in as.

This is a very serious show stopper bug that must be resolved in 1.1.1

I think it's now fixed - needs some additional validation.

I applied the fix but its still broken for me. I have the same symptoms: i use passwordmanager:none but I am already in that loop as i have allowloginname enabled. I dont see how the patch fixes the problem.

-- TerryRankine - 19 Oct 2010

I can confirm that with PasswordManager none I cannot edit groups.

password manager should not have ANYTHING to do with this. The only thing the password manager should be involved with is setting/resetting passwords and storage of email addresses in .htaccess. And registration. Anything else should not be depending on this.

User mapper is what should be important.

Fixed with my fixes in Item9848.
