This question about Installation of Foswiki, Configuration: Answered
initial setup after installed using docker
I have installed foswiki using the timlegge/foswiki docker (using docker-compose).
I get the home page, and thats it. I cannot register, I canot get to any other page due to redirect, I cannot get to admin.
I'd appreciate a pointer to how to start to configure foswiki to make it usable.
BTW, it is installed on a headless server, so
http://localhost is not an option.
Thanks,
Dan

Dan - If you could provide some additional information, I'll try to help you:
- When you say you get the home, which page is that?
Main.WebHome
?
- If the home page loads, then there should be a link there to
configure
interface. Do you see that? When you go there, you'll be asked to save inititial configuration.
- Make sure registration is enabled (in configure). Then on the home page, there should be a link to the user registration page where you can register yourself. Once that's done, add yourself to AdminGroup immediately.

Usually you can access the configure page from the /System/AdminToolsCategory
http://localhost/bin/configure

What does that mean? I assume you can get there from a web browser

Thanks for the answers. I got it to work.
http://localhost is misleading, the wiki actually listens on all interfaces, so it is possible to access using
http://192.168.x.x (it is not possible to run a web brouser on a headless system - system without a GUI).
