After registration I got this page:

So where is my link to my topic? And how to get out of here otherwise?

Do I get this result because registration actually failed (no entry in htpasswd, but user page created)? But the feedback doesn't tell me so.

When I remove all SMTP data from configure, I get this error:

Mail could not be sent - please ask your %WIKIWEBMASTER% to look at the Foswiki warning log. Too many failures sending mail 

Note the unexpanded WIKIWEBMASTER. O my...

The link to the Foswiki user topic is now present. The semi-completed registration has several open tasks documenting the issue. Changing the Summary to be more in line with the issue.

Note that on Release11 branch, the email failure message exposes a bit too much information, dumping out the full path of the perl module.
