If you are using a color on the Rich-Text-Editor in Foswiki, the color should be visually displayed on the editor instead of being converted into code.

See this video for a demonstration.

Please provide a verbal description of the error you are seeing. Much as I appreciate the effort that goes into producing these videos, they are time consuming to view, and my (linux) version of flash frequently fails to open them.

Later; finally saw the video. I hate bloody macros! Confirmed.

Thanks for taking care of these issues. If you wrote down, what needs to be done, to fix a bug, our programmers might be able to help also. Is that easy or just as much work as fixing the bug right away?

-- MartinSeibert - 04 Apr 2009

I'm afraid fixing something like this is usually 90% generating a reproducible testcase, 5% understanding the problem, and 5% fixing it.

Many years ago the ™Wiki troll decided to define 'pink' as #ff00ff. As long as the ™Wiki troll only played with himself, then that was great; pink was pink. Unknown to the ™Wiki troll, all the other trolls knew that #ff00ff is called 'fuchsia', and called a completely different colour, #ffc0cb, 'pink'. One day, the ™Wiki troll came out of his hole to play with another troll, called Tiny. Tiny had lots of friends, and one special friend called HTML 4.01 who had taught him the true names for #ff00ff and #ffc0cb.

The two trolls decided to play a game; ™Wiki would throw Tiny a whole handful of coloured balls, and shout the name of one colour. Tiny would have to catch the ball of the same colour and throw it back to ™Wiki. If Tiny got the right ball and threw it back, he would win. If he passed back the wrong ball, he would lose. When ™Wiki shouted 'pink', Tiny grabbed the pink ball and threw it back to ™Wiki, thinking he had won the game. But the ball hit ™Wiki square on the nose, and broke it, and there was blood everywhere.

And the moral of this story is; follow the fucking specs, or something is going to break your nose sooner or later.

And if someone would also remember to fill out the fucking TargetRelease and ReleasedIn fields so I do not have to spend time finding out if the fix is in trunk or Release branch it would be even better. wink
