There are several problems with the new PatternSkin on Foswiki 1.1

  • WebTopicCreator depends on 2.0 feature of including parameters on STARTSECTION

On Foswiki 1.1, the WebCreateNewTopicComponents and WebCreateNewTopicTemplate are not part of PatternSkin. use a PREINSTALL exit to delete these files from the MANIFEST.

  • It uses ENDSECTION where STOPSECTION would still continue to work. These are interchangeable, so no reason to use the new macro.

  • It uses the %INCLUDE "TopicA, TopicB" list capability

The INCLUDE feature can be avoided by shipping a pattern01x01 skin for the 4 templates using that feature.
