For example, (Foswikitask:Item1234) creates a broken link. Other links might be broken too.

Think it was me who broke it, so will try to fix this over the weekend.

There are two bugs.

First - the bug you reported.

Second - that any topic you look up in 1.1 with a trailing ) makes Foswiki code crash with a regex error that seems to come from the TwistyPlugin.

Both need fixing. None of these bugs were in 1.0

I think the TwistyPlugin bug is unrelated, so have created Item10618 for that.
