Can Foswiki be used as a distributed system (like git or fossil)?
I.e. can multiple users have their own local instance of Foswiki and at some later point synchronize their submissions?

Interesting question. Foswiki requires a web server, though there is nothing to say you can't host that web server locally. You could then use standard text file synchronisation methods (or the commercially available ReadWriteOfflinePlugin
) to synchronise different installations together, to create a network of peers. However the core does not have anything explicitly included in it to make this possible; the expectation is that you will have a server somewhere that people are sharing.
