As pointed out in Support.Question596, the text following the form in UserRegistration assumes that the user will receive a confirmation email, regardless of the {Register}{NeedVerification} setting. I can't think of a way to create conditional wording without a way to test for this setting. Perhaps the wording of this paragraph should simply be modified to make it neutral regarding this setting. The simplest option for that might be to simply drop the first paragraph in that paragraph so that it starts with "Once your account is activated, Foswiki will:..."

For that matter, it seems to me that a lot of the text in UserRegistration could be eliminated or placed in small footnotes. Anyone interested in simplifying the registration page?

I think the page is simplified a lot already:
