Item9501: Deleting a table in WYSIWYG editor
Priority: Normal
Current State: No Action Required
Released In: 1.1.5
Target Release: minor
There is no mechanism to delete a table in the WYSIWYG editor.
Also, once the table is created there should be some space within the cells, otherwise it is very clumsy to enter data.

Normally you would just select the table and press delete. Do you have some example text where this doesn't work?
I do agree that the columns should be a sane width when they are created.
I'm afraid that because we are discussing changing the default behaviour of TinyMCE's table plugin - not something that we usually maintain for Foswiki - this should be regarded as an enhancement.

Please don't count the 'enhancement' priority as a dismissal - I think the problem with table column widths is an important usability issue that could easily be overridden.

In IE, I can delete the table by selecting it and pressing the delete button. However in FF it doesn't work; I have to go to the Raw Wiki editor and delete the table.

Which version of firefox?

It works fine in the beta version of firefox.

In IE you can click the table edges (get the resize handles) and use delete key to delete the table. In Firefox 3.6 (and below, I assume) you have to highlight the complete text of the table.
Confirmed, but I'm not sure what to do (the behaviour seems consistent with the moxiecode public demo)

Unless we provide moxiecode with a fix, we should add this to known issues and close.

Deferring to 1.1.5

This seems to be fixed by the latest TMCE now in Release 1.1.5, and a current
FireFox (10.0.3 here). I think that it's safe to close this. Setting it to No Action. Please re-open if there are still issues.
