and some really should be doable using the core - and without confusing our users.

similarly JQueryAutocomplete

hard to tell what you really mean.

+1

-- CrawfordCurrie - 27 Jul 2010

Nobody can do anything about this except Sven, so dropping to "Normal" status and leaving for his feedback.

-- CrawfordCurrie - 28 Jul 2010

it's pretty simple. goto the topic, and read the TML that Micha wrote. there are a number that depend on non-core plugins. some that don't need to.

ie, simple testing.

and given that we want users not to be confused as to why something doesn't work, it should be fixed in some way.

OK, so these are topics? http://trunk.foswiki.org/System/JQueryAjaxHelper and http://trunk.foswiki.org/System/JQueryAutocomplete

data/System/JQueryAjaxHelper.txt:214:FLEXWEBLIST{ ...

245: DBQUERY

JQueryAutocomplete: FORMATLIST

-- CrawfordCurrie - 29 Jul 2010

Feel free to rewrite them. I was not able to replace FLEXWEBLIST or FORMATLIST with something coreish.

The DBQUERY-based one has got a SEARCH-based equivalent already. They are both provided as is.

Rewritten

-- CrawfordCurrie - 30 Jul 2010

Web selector isn't working now. It does not respect prefixes typed into the searchbox.

As far as I see there's no way to filter a list using core means. Even SpreadSheetPlugin can't do that relatively simple task.

-- MichaelDaum - 30 Jul 2010

The web selector works fine; it just doesn't work the way you had it working before. It's an example; it doesn't have to. You can still use web_flex if you want the FlexWebList-specific version.

-- CrawfordCurrie - 30 Jul 2010

On reflection, I understand what you mean. Re-opened.

I can't find a way to filter the webs list either. But at least the basic examples all use core macros now.

-- CrawfordCurrie - 31 Jul 2010

Re-opening again to simplify the FilterPlugin examples again.
