Item9195: Topic name being improperly sanitized at topic creation

When I try to create a topic, I first check the box to allow a non-WikiWord as a topic name. I then enter the topic name as follows

Test_Without_CamelCase

Next to the entry box, it says "Topic will be named TestWithoutCamelCase". When I click outside the text box, it renames the topic to "TestWithoutCamelCase".

After I create the topic I can go back in and edit the name to include the underscore, but the way our site is going together that's going to mean that every post is going to require manual editing after its creation.

I would assume the behavior above is a bug - is there a fix?
