Item8651: Fails to generate PDF (view: unlink0: pdf is gone already)
Priority: Normal
Current State: Closed
Released In:
Target Release: n/a
I wanted to set up the
GenPDFWebkitPlugin but when I tried to generate a PDF (adding
?contenttype=application/pdf) I get the following error on screen:
Foswiki detected an internal error - please check your Foswiki logs and webserver logs for more information.
exec failed: No such file or directory
And I get the following error show on the apache log:
[DATE] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] [DATE] view: unlink0: /tmp/K2uyKXuljY.pdf is gone already at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/CGI/Carp.pm line 356
[DATE] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] [DATE] view: unlink0: /tmp/L19ay9LjnF.html is gone already at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/CGI/Carp.pm line 356
[DATE] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] exec failed: No such file or directory at /path/to/foswiki/lib/Foswiki/Sandbox.pm line 471.
What is wrong?

Please fire up
configure
and go to the webkit section. Review the {WebKitCmd}. Most probably it does not point to the correct
wkhtmltopdf
binary. That's why it says "no such file or directory".

Yes, thank you, I figured that the
WebKitCmd was indeed not set up right. Works very well now, thanks!
