I upgraded me TWiki to Version 4.2.2 and found it strange that the
SlideShowPlugin didn't work. Finally I found that it doesn't work with the
EditChapterPlugin enabled. There might be a bug in the
EditChapterPlugin which interferes with the use of an anchor in the
SldeShowPlugin.

I want to say, that this problem remains in Foswiki 1.0.4/1.0.5 .
At the time I reported
Tasks.Item1499 I didn't thought about testing other plugins and was irritated, that on my fresh Foswiki 1.0.5 installation the
SlideShowPlugin works and some days later, some more plugins installed, it doesn't work.
Adding to my description in
Tasks.Item1499 I get the "Edit this chapter"-pencil for every Heading, if I move my mouse over it.
At this time I missed this fact.
If the bug isn't so easy to fix, could be there some words on the documentation of the two plugins?
Or can't be there a feature to disable the
EditChapterPlugin in every Topic where a %STARTSLIDESHOW% is matchable?
Is there a feature to disable plugins only on a part of a topic, not for the whole topic?
Many Thanks in advance

SlideShowPlugin is a default plugin that turns sections into slide.
EditChapter makes chapters editable.
I think
EditChapterPlugin need to be made aware of
SlideShowPlugin since it is an extra plugin where
SlideShowPlugin is a default that
EditChapterPlugin can asume will be activated on 95%+ of Foswikis.
It should be a simple thing to make
EditChapterPlugin aware that it should turn itself off when the slideshow=on URL parameter is present.

did this combination use to work in twiki? if so, we should identify what caused things to break.
asking for feedback from
WolfMarbach and
StephaniePlatz if this is broken in twiki as well or only on foswiki? and if broken on twiki, too, which versions did it
not work on? which versions of twiki
did it work on? thanks.

I'm sorry for my late answer. I don't know if this problem occurs on older TWikis, I have it only tested on Foswiki 1.0.4 and 1.0.5
But I detected, that if you add
SlideShowPlugin in Configure to
PluginsOrder at the end and
EditChapterPlugin isn't in this list(or it is after
SlideShowPlugin), it renders correct.
Would it be better to add this instruction to the documentation of
SlideShowPlugin and
EditChapterPlugin or to make a hard-coded bugfix in
EditChapterPlugin?
And I don't know, if
SlideShowPlugin will break other Plugins, if it's out of the normal alphabetical order, but I don't think so.

This is completely normal, and adding
SlideShowPlugin to the Plugin order is the right solution. See
Item9805.
