I created a subweb: Projects/Pr1

I set the permissions as
  ALLOWWEBVIEW = %MAINWEB%.PrReadGroup
  ALLOWWEBCHANGE = %MAINWEB%.TWikiAdminGroup, %MAINWEB%.PrReadGroup
  ALLOWWEBRENAME = %MAINWEB%.TWikiAdminGroup

but TWikiGuest could view all pages in the web.

When I moved the web up one level so it wasn't a subweb, I got the expected authentication request. (I didn't change the privileges settings).

What are the access settings in the parent web?

And did you remember to remove these settings from the FINALPREFERENCES in the parent?

I have tested this in connection with other reports and the access rights worked fine. I think it is the way it works that was confusing for the reporter and the detail on FINALPREFERENCES.
