Item5669: BugsContrib: bad frontpage
Priority: Enhancement
Current State: Closed
Released In: n/a
Target Release: n/a
Nobody reads the
frontpage, okay maybe the first time you visit it. But then it is only of rare use.
Most bugtrackers have nice dashboards on the front. The current one is a mixture of an about-help-quickstart page.

good point really - I'm thinking an IF which shows the current prose only when there are no Items?

Here are some things that could be placed on the frontpage to make it more of a dashboard:
- My reports
- Bugs waiting for me
- Critical bugs
- Buggiest components
- Hot bugs
- Recent changes
- Top contributors
- Top bug zappers

I can imagine that data over time can add value over link lists. For instance the length of outstanding items, the lines of submit and fix rates. Also changing the time window for each "top" lists.

i did
some work on this, mostly by taking the contents of
WebLeftBar
looking forward to some AJAX-y type calls to have better visualization and a more dynamic dashboard.
