Item14107: Cancel doesn't undo add/delete row or move row actions. Document the restriction.
Priority: Normal
Current State: Closed
Released In: 2.1.3
Target Release: patch
If I am editing a table (
EditRowPlugin) and press the
AddRow button, the Cancel button does not undo the added row. I feel that the function of the cancel button would be to cancel anything back to the point of me hitting the "Edit" button. It will erase any edits to the cells within the row, but it just doesn't remove the row.

Confirming this, but the way this plugin works using "ajax" real-time updates, it might have to be fixed with a documentation change. Same is true by the way for delete rows. The delete is done "live" and cancel is not possible. Crawford. I think I asked you about this a while back, but never opened a task.

Yes, documentation change. I can't see it being code-fixed any time soon - it would be very complex to undo.

Updating the documentation to clariy that the 4 row actions - move up, down, insert and delete, are done immediately on the server and cannot be cancelled.
