Net::SMTP doesn't support NTLM authentication because Authen::SASL doesn't.

Authen::SASL is extensible.

Since this isn't all that common (but common enough to have a place on the e-mail issues FAQ), we're packaging the necessary extension as a Contrib (NTLMEmailAuthContrib).

For the record, the extension is designed specifically for the way in which Net::SMTP uses Authen::SASL; it is not a general implementaton of NTLM for Authen::SASL. Thus, it's not being submitted to CPAN.

Thanks to GeorgeClark for noting the defficiency, arranging for testing, and volunteering to package the result.
