Item11600 made some changes to the Manage api preventing saving topic preferences from being recognized as such.

Before, the url parameters action_save and action_cancel just had to be there with no specific value provided. Now, they require Save and Cancel respectively.

Actually, they didn't have to be there at all. Posting with or without save or cancel saved the settings. The only way to not save was to use the back button. The parameters were completely ignored.

I tried to work backwards from PatternSkin and test what it was providing, and make it more difficult to "accidentally" save. So if a skin supplied "action_save=cancel" for example, it would still cancel.

How does Nat Edit implement the cancel? Did it post a cancel, or just view elsewhere. If it posted with action_cancel, it was really saving anyway.

This seems to work by now.
