Item11323: autocomplete jump/search out of the box

I think it would be a big value add if the Jump and/or Search boxes made good use of jquery's autocomplete, especially since jquery is included in the base download. Support.Question981 has details of the setup I'm using, which may be more resource-intensive than you'd like out of the box, but may give some ideas on what to put in System.WebTopBarExample.

That's indeed quite resource-intensive. In addition the code in Question981 uses an outdated implementation (Error: no such plugin autocomplete).

For a better autocompletion/autosugestion implementation that scales well see SolrPlugin which comes with a solr skin overlay that replaces both boxes with a single one.

Further note that having two boxes - as is unfortunately the case by default: one for "jump" the other for search - is a usability problem in its own.
