On IE8 we can't edit, the textarea comes up blank. Works on Chrome. Did a merg back to revision 12194 and there it works. Couldn't find a duplicate task or other info. I also had an issue with 'foswikiicons' but removed that from tiny settings and problem was gone. That could have been caused by some modifications we have done earlier.

Let me know if you're running trunk in production. Release01x01 branch is still using TinyMCE ~3.3.9.2, whereas in trunk I updated to 3.4.3

Raised to urgent (we need to support IE8 properly)

I think I've fixed this in distro:beeb78fde9c9. Please confirm

I understand you're having problems saving character with default charset, but I'm having problems reproducing. Could you attempt to reproduce here on trunk.foswiki.org? Also, you mentioned on IRC there were other issues. Could you list them here so I can try to fix?

Thanks in advance for your testing & reporting smile

To be specific I had trouble with that one particular topic with that table. I could very fine create a new topic with a table in wysiwyg and type and save . I tried copying the contents of that erroneous topic to a new one bit still the same error.

I had to enable page caheing to get speed...and well, now I have reverted to the old server again and I think the new server shall be declared fubar. I can't reporduce atm...It works on foswiki 1.1.3. Hopefully I can get a new install up soon.

Edit works generally so this can be closed, also with tables. If I manage to reproduce the one topic with existing table I'll report again. It is another problem.
