Location of data form in topic

Can a data form be somewhere other than the bottom of a topic? When I create a topic and choose a custom form I created, it appears all the way at the bottom. I would like to put it in the middle or the top of the topic.

Assuming you are using the default PatternSkin, there is some information on how to customize the appearance in PatternSkinCustomization - I want to place the form at the top

You can/have to use view templates for what you want to do. I suggest you disable the form button stuff and create your own view template in a new topic. You can use %FORMFIELD% macros across your view template to display the content of single data formfields.

Afterwards you need to activate your new view template in your target topic by "* Set VIEW_TEMPLATE = web.topic".
