This question about Using an extension: Answered

CommentPluginHolidayList

I have installed foswiki last week on a debian box (5.0.5) from the debian foswiki repository.

I have installed the holidaylistplugin with apt-get.

I have found this page where the use of the holidaylistplugin is very nice:

http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Kenneth/HolidaylistCommentExample

I wanted to do the same and I saw in the raw viwe that it makes use of the

No such template def 'PROMPT:holidaylist'

I have tried to include this in my Topic but I get an error.

I saw from the list of installed plugins that I have installed (directly with the "bulk" of twiki): CommentPlugin (12 Sep 2009, $Rev: 4843 (2009-09-11) $)

I see that in the debian foswiki repo there is an "extra" comment plugin which has a pretty new timestamp (12-Jul-2010).

I have tried to install it but I get an error:

atp-get install foswiki-commentplugin

Any idea what is wrong? Actually I just want the

No such template def 'PROMPT:holidaylist'

to work no matter how ...

thanks

SOLVED:
  1. debian can not update (jet ??) built-in plugins
  2. the problem with the CommentPlugin was not in the version but in the fat that I was missing the template allowing the "holiday plugin" feature
