This question about Issue in browser: Task closed
Back-Button in preview page => all changes lost
Description of the problem/question
I've a Test-Foswiki running (svn trunk) where the problem
does not (and never did) occur. Then I upgraded my production TWiki to Foswiki 1.0.0 (without the TWikiCompatibilityPlugin, because all needed Plugins run in Foswiki-Space) and here I've the following problem:
- I start editing a page and make some changes (raw edit, I don't use a WYSIWYG-Editor)
- I go the preview page (all my changes are there)
- I push the browser's back button
- Problem: alle my changes are gone. The topic text is the same as it was before editing the page
It doesn't matter if I use the
NatSkin or a skin of my own.
In
Item71 IsaacLin described a very similar problem:
in the past I could use "Preview" and then the back control in my browser, now, the second time I do this, I lose all of my changes.
Item71 was fixed by
MichaelDaum in svn revision 1819. I lookked at the changes in this revision, but I cannot figure out what had caused the problem and what helped in past.
Can somebody give me a hint what can cause such a problem?
What caused (nearly) the same problem before svn revision 1819?

Christian, please
file a bug report about this, including:
- Server operating system and version
- Web Server and version
- Browser and version
I'm using Firefox 3.0.4 on Linux and I could not reproduce the problem.

The particular problem was fixed back in 2009.
However people should note that there are still issues with Firefox related to going back in the browser.
For this reason we have had to remove Preview in Wysiwyg feature (was done already in the old project). Firefox has to this date still not fixed the problem.
In Raw Edit you can go back and resubmit.
The problem that was originally reported on this support question was fixed in Foswiki 1.0.1
