Link Related Plugins - Do they play nicely together?

Hi. Do LinkOptionsPlugin and ExternalLinkPlugin play nicely together?

We are already using LinkOptionsPlugin which allows links to be declared with a third component which is typically used to make links outside the Wiki be opened in a new window.

We are thinking of also using ExternalLinkPlugin which causes external links to be rendered with a small image file, so reminding users of which links are external.

Is anyone aware of there being a problem running these together, or specific testing which demonstrates they play nicely?

There is a problem when a mix of Internal and External links on same link of wikitext. Tagging of external links works fine. But any internal link which is before an external link on same line will (incorrectly) be tagged external. Raised as bug https://foswiki.org/Tasks/Item15011
