Login page will not display when changed to LDAP

When I change either UserMapping manager to Foswiki::Users::LdapUserMapping and or change PasswordManager tp Foswiki::Users::LdapPasswdUser I receive the following error I am running the virtual image for vmware server. 

Foswiki detected an internal error - please check your Foswiki logs and webserver logs for more information.

Can't locate Netpath in @INC (@INC contains: path-1.1.9path . path path path path path path path path path-1.1.9path path-1.1.9path-linux-gnu-thread-multi-64int path-1.1.9path path-1.1.9path

Please check all dependencies of LdapContrib, i.e. whether you've got Net::LDAP installed. It doesn't seem so.
