Transiitioning States with form

I have an issue also with state transitions.

Consider again a topic with "State A" and "State B:" where a user has permission to edit only in "State A" - which has a form to enter his Approal signature (like "Controlled Document" in the Workflow Plugin example). On transition, it appears the topic changes state before the topic opens for edit for the form - leaving the user unable to save - since he is doesn't have permission in the State B.

Iis this a problem or am I missing something? A temporary workaound is to allow the user to transfer to a state between A and B where he has permission and no form.

You are not missing anything, I fear. I don't have much to suggest, other than to ensure that the user performing a transition to a state that requires form completion has edit access to the target state.

It would be possible, though tricky, to relax the save constraint on the target state in this specific case, though I would be nervous that it would open up a nasty hole in the security blanket.
