How to create a new topic from a wiki link based on a template?

I would like to set a default template for a parent topic, and for all topics created from this topic, using wiki links (i.e. by clicking on the question mark) to have the defined default template, rather than the Web Default Template. Is this possible?

If this isn't possible, is there a way that clicking on the question mark can open the CreateNewTopic page instead of opening the new topic in edit mode?
