Apache File Permissions in Install on Bluehost

Hi there,

I followed the wikiguide on how to install foswiki on bluehost ( http://foswiki.org/Support/InstallingOnBlueHost) but have run into issues. I tried the step-by-step guide with both 1.1.3 (as per the guide) as well as the latest 1.1.8, and i run into the same issue which is that file permissions seem to be wonky, even though I have set them in the .htaccess file.

I can see the problem when I simply go to the front (/bin/view) page, since the system does not have access to read the CSS file, or any of the ProjectLogos or whatever. This is odd since it doesn't seem like there should be a problem... The folders are all 755 and files are 644, so shouldn't everyone have read access at least?

Also, the .htaccess file is set to "Allow from all". I do not believe anything is reached via symlinks, but i've tried both "Options None" and "Options FollowSymLinks" and either way, I get a 403 permissions error when I try to load one of the images.

Does anyone have any familiarity with installing on bluehost (or a similar shared hosting plan?). I am not a UNIX expert by any means, so I'm hoping this is just a simple thing.. I've googled around to no avail!

Thanks!

Andy
