Create New Topic slow in some webs

Hello

I seem to be having an issue with the wysiwyg plugin. When editing a page, the editor opens quickly, but when creating a new page it would take 15 seconds to open. After reading some articles, I installed mod_fcgid, but it didn't made a difference.

I checked the foswiki error log and it was complaining about the zone plugin, which I removed as I am running version 1.1.3, and the plugin is only required for 1.0. After that, sometimes the create new page opens in 7 seconds, and sometimes in 15. 7 seconds seems about right, but 15 is too long - the trunk.foswiki.org opens in about 7 seconds and that is on the internet!

Also, it seems to open quickly in smaller webs - in the Users web it opens quickly (in about 3 seconds), but in the Main and other commonly used webs, it is slow.

I am a little puzzled. Any thoughts/ideas?

Will

There was a bug in the template search on the topic creator page. See the fix to Tasks.Item11145 distro:a573e5b38c58 - the addition of topic="*Template" to the search. Fixed in Foswiki 1.1.4.
