Proper SKIN setting to get metacomment and natedit working on PatternSkin

I have both - MetaComment and PatternSkin plugins installed.

According to MetaCommentPlugin, I set following lines in Main Site preferences:

  • Set SKIN = metacomment, pattern

which works perfectly in Foswiki 1.1.9.

Unfortunately in Foswiki 2.0.0 it results in hidden 'Save' button in Edit mode. No comments are displayed as well.

Could you tell me if MetaComment is deprecated and I should use different comment plugin for Foswiki 2.0.0, please?

Foswiki 2.0 is a very major change. We have been working through extension issues, there are a very large number of extensions to check. Tasks.Item13483 for some status. It mentions possible issues, but no tasks have been opened yet at Tasks.MetaCommentPlugin

Not sure what is going on. I've installed MetaCommentPlugin and its dependencies on a Foswiki 2.0 system. On Foswiki 2.0, the skin setting should be
  • Set SKIN = metacomment, natedit, pattern
I don't see any missing save button, edit is working fine and the comments appear to be displaying correctly.

I've opened Tasks.Item13544 to deal with uft-8 issues.
