WISYSIG editor with UTF-8

WYSYWIG editor is unable to handle UTF-8 characters in settings lines.

Example:

  • Set WHATEVER = Glāžšķūņu rūķīši

If you open a topic with such line in WYSYWIG editor and save it, all accented letters are changed to unreadable codes.

It is enough to open the editor in WYSYWIG mode and switch to text mode - the text appears broken already.

My site has {UseLocale} enabled, {Site}{Locale} set to en_US.UTF-8, and {Site}{CharSet} set to {utf-8}.

This is fixed in Foswiki 2.0. Foswiki versions prior to 2.0 don't fully support utf-8.
