This looks as if setting up Foswiki is very complicated. The drawing includes optional addons / possibilities that should be marked as such.

Can Tomcat or Jetty run perl CGI scripts? I thought they were generally used for Java based jsp applications. However foswiki has been shown to run under lighthttpd and ngnix (although ngnix is definitely not off-the-shelf).

Tomcat / Jetty is drawn because of Solr interaction. I try to visualize a common architecture of an enterprise wiki used in companies (if your common wiki architecture differs, feel free to modify or to create another drawing)

I have two comments. 1. Perhaps it would be helpful to include more diagrams, showing the "out-of-the-box" architecture and other possible architectures. 2. It would be very useful to list the plugins you are assuming in each architecture diagram.
