foswiki-announce@lists.foswiki.org - Announcements about Foswiki project (low volume)

This is the mailing list all Foswiki users should subscribe to. We keep the traffic to an absolute minimum. Maybe one posting per month. Security alerts are posted to this list.

This list is used for:
  • Announcements of Foswiki releases
  • Announcements of security alerts

foswiki-security@lists.foswiki.org - Security vulnerability reports (confidential)

Submit security issues to this list. You cannot subscribe to this list - only the security team members can see postings - so it can be used to warn us of potential security problems. Security alerts are announced in the foswiki-announce mailing list. (The security procedure is outlined under SecurityAlertProcess)

When the security team deals with your post it will answer you directly so you can follow the progress of your alert.

foswiki-discuss@lists.foswiki.org - General discussion about Foswiki project

This mailing list is the community discussion mailing list where we discuss most anything. It has 1-20 postings per day.

Archives of this are public. Email addresses are not obfuscated. Archives from prior lists:

foswiki-commits@lists.foswiki.org - GitHub commit messages

This is the mailing list all developers with GitHub access should subscribe to. This list gets a message from GitHub for each commit pushed to the foswiki project owned repositories. The reply-to for this list is set to foswiki-developer@lists.foswiki.org

All GitHub checkins are automatically posted here. The archives for this list are maintained for 90 days. Replies are directed to foswiki-develop, which does not limit the archives. A test server runs the unit tests and reports failures to this mailing list.

The volume is relatively high. Sometimes more than 20 postings per day.
